How Kinbria stays free
“Free” only lasts if the math works. Here's ours — no venture pressure to start charging later.
- We don't build the expensive stuff. The features that force other apps to charge — in-app phone calls, money transfers between parents, and large file storage — are exactly what we chose not to build. Text and calendar records cost very little to run, so we can give them away.
- Optional donations, never fees. If Kinbria helped you, you can chip in to cover hosting — entirely optional and never tied to a feature. Donating unlocks nothing extra, and not donating removes nothing. Everyone gets the same full app.
- A mission to keep it fair. Courts tell separated parents to keep everything in writing. Charging per parent prices the person who most needs a record out of having one. Kinbria exists so keeping a record is never locked behind a payment — that's the whole point.

A couple of honest notes
Free doesn't mean hidden from us. Your conversations are encrypted (scrambled so outsiders can't read them) and can be seen only by you, your co-parent, the system owner and admin at Draco Inc., and anyone you invite as view-only. Your messages are scrambled and access is tightly limited, but this is not the kind of setup where no one but the two parents could ever read a message. That's on purpose: it's what lets the owner help with your account and lets Kinbria create court records — both of which would be impossible if no one but the two parents could ever read a message.
Free doesn't decide your case. Kinbria's records are built to prove on their own that they're genuine — signed, dated by an independent outside service, and backed by a signed statement confirming each is a true copy — but whether any record is accepted is always the judge's decision.
